Your baby may love splashing about in the water, but you should be careful to make bath time safe as well as fun. Your baby will feel most comfortable in bath if the water is between 36.5 °C and 38 °C. A temperature of 39°C and above is too hot.
If you do not have a bath thermometer, test the water with your elbow. When you put your elbow in the water, it should feel warm, not hot.
You can buy a thermometer to check the temperature of the bath water. Some thermometers are designed as a safe and fun bath toy. Baby bath thermometer checks the bath water temperature periodically and display it on an easy-to-read LCD. Some of them have display water temperature with different colors for example; blue for cold, green for just right, and red for hot.
